What does 20 feel like??
It feels like shattered glass on the footpath, of rotten leaves in courtyard, like a crumbled paper on the floor, or that torn photograph with tape all over, the bruised hand that is healing slow, it tastes like that food that was burnt on negligence, or that tea that was left out cold on the table, it tastes of that drink left because of it’s odd taste, or of that snack waiting to be picked up by someone, it tastes of that malt no one ever likes, or of that book that is too expensive to be bought, it is the desire of that kid who is looking at the toy shop with no money in pockets, it is that cry of the baby who has lost his mother, or that scream of that woman who lost his man, it feels like the bullet inside of that soldier, or that hope of return living in his mother’s heart, it is the cry of the baby on his first day of school, or the nervousness of the girl on her first day to university, it has that fear that has a house next to safety, or that pain that shares the room with joy. 20 feels like those balls being hit by the bat hard, or of that football kicked by the people around, it is that anxiety of the new teacher in front of the class, it is that guitar nobody uses because of loose string, or that bone broken during a fight, it is the happiness wounded around the foil of sadness, the thorns coiled around beautiful rose. 20 feels like that pain living inside our body without getting away, it is those broken dreams stapled with the hope of fulfilment. It is that hope of having the best when there is nothing left, the joy of being with the loved ones amidst of all chaos, the beautiful colours in the middle of all grey, the dazzling rainbow after a tired day, it is that moon shining brightly on black sky, it is the laughter that makes the tear dry, it is that feeling in your heart you could never explain, it feels like finally I have that person right next to me everyday…..

.
